Solvent Naphtha 200, also known as Heavy Aromatic Solvent C12–C14, is a high-boiling, clear, light yellow hydrocarbon solvent derived from petroleum distillation. It consists predominantly of C12–C14 aromatic hydrocarbons and is characterized by its high aromatic content (≥99%), low naphthalene levels, and excellent solvency power. With a boiling range of approximately 225–300°C and a flash point around 97–100°C, it is suitable for demanding industrial applications requiring slow evaporation and high solvency. This solvent is widely used in the formulation of coatings, paints, varnishes, adhesives, sealants, printing inks, emulsifiers, fuel additives, oilfield chemicals, corrosion inhibitors, surfactants, and water treatment chemicals. Its chemical stability and compatibility with a wide range of resins make it ideal for use in rubber processing, resin production, and specialty chemical formulations. Solvent Naphtha 200 is typically supplied in bulk, drums, or ISO tanks and must be handled with care due to its flammability and environmental hazards.
