Solvent Naphtha 100, also known as Hydrocarbons, C9, aromatics, is a clear, colorless, aromatic hydrocarbon solvent derived from petroleum refining. It is classified as a UVCB substance (Unknown or Variable composition, Complex reaction products or Biological materials) and typically consists of C9 aromatic compounds such as ethylbenzene, xylenes, and trimethylbenzenes. With a boiling range of approximately 155–181°C, it offers excellent solvency and controlled evaporation, making it suitable for a wide range of industrial applications. This solvent is commonly used in the formulation of paints, coatings, adhesives, sealants, printing inks, and cleaning agents, as well as in chemical manufacturing, oilfield chemicals, and rubber processing. It is also employed in industrial spraying, blending, and laboratory use.
