Methoxy Propanol (PM) is a colourless highly flammable liquid that is soluble in water. It is a methoxy alcohol derivative with the formula of C4H10O2. It is an organic solvent with a variety of industrial and commercial uses. Methoxy Propanol is mainly used in the production of propylene glycol methyl ether acetate (also known as PMA). Similar to other glycol ethers, it is used as a carrier solvent in printing inks. Furthermore is it used as industrial and commercial paint stripper, paints, varnishes and inks.
