Acetone is a clear, colourless and volatile chemical raw material. It is an extremely flammable, low toxic, liquid ketone, mainly used as an organic solvent. It is used as a precursor for methyl methacrylate. Other applications are varnishes, lacquers, cleaning products, inks and adhesives.
