Triethylene Glycol is a colorless, odorless, hygroscopic liquid with molecular formula C6H14O4. It is being used as a dehydrating agent for natural gas, a solvent and lubricant in textile dyeing and printing, a plasticizer; a raw material for the production of polyester resins and polyols, a constituent of hydraulic fluids and brakefluid, a humectant, and a selective solvent for aromatics.
