We are looking for a proactive and highly skilled candidate, with a proven track record in chemical sourcing. Are you passionate about sourcing and able to source new and existing products of our product portfolio, follow up on new market developments and maintain and develop new long term key accounts? Position
In this position you are responsible for the sourcing of chemicals from our product portfolio in China and the Far East.

Key responsibilities:
– Further develop our supplier base and expansion with existing suppliers
– Independently create long-term business relationships with new suppliers
– Expand our product portfolio, maintain existing suppliers and establish new contacts
– Analysing market trends on production, pricing, sales and demand
– Setting up contracts and prices
– Negotiations with suppliers on terms and conditions
– Communicate and coordinate relevant information between sales, administration and logistics
– Co-operating with and supporting colleagues
– Attending weekly commercial meetings with colleagues

Key requirements:
– Several years of working experience in a procurement position in the chemical industry
– Proactive, able to open doors
– Able to create new business
– Ability to set and achieve challenging commercial targets
– Team player, with the ability to operate independently
– Good communicative and analytical skills
– Languages; English and Chinese, other languages beneficial
– Able to work under pressure
– Customer focus
– Multitasking
– Result oriented
– 15-20% travelling (internationally) required
